Separate consent
Your neurotype can only be stored via a dedicated checkbox, separate from accepting the terms. You can withdraw it later — the related data is then erased.
01 — The Guardian
A trusted person, with limited access.
A Guardian is optional. Their dashboard contains profile information, activity status, shared mood and alert information. It is not continuous monitoring or an emergency service.
What your Guardian sees
- Profile information: avatar, bio, interests, neurotype and sensory preferences
- Activity status, last seen and shared mood
- Information about triggered alerts
What they never see
- Your conversations, not even an excerpt
- Your private photos
- Who you liked, or passed on
Separate access
Member messaging routes reject Guardian access. Review the information being shared before agreeing. A status indicator does not prove that someone is safe.
Dual consent
You both have to agree, and you can revoke access at any time, on your own, without explaining yourself. The Guardian is entirely optional: plenty of members never have one.
02 — Your data
What you tell us is sensitive. We treat it that way.
Location is your choice
You can turn GPS off and give only your city. No movement history is kept: only your last known position.
Exportable and erasable
Deletion revokes access and starts service cleanup. Some records remain under the retention policy, including audit logs. You can request an export from settings.
Never targeted advertising
We do not sell, rent, or target any advertising using your neurotype or your limits. That is not our model.
03 — Reporting
If something goes wrong.
Use supported profile and conversation menus to report or block. Reports enter the moderation workflow. Blocking prevents new direct exchanges with that person.
Common questions
Can I use KINDYZ without a Guardian?
Yes. The Guardian is entirely optional. You can enable it, revoke it, or never use it — it changes nothing else in the app.
Could my Guardian read my messages if they insisted?
Guardian access is rejected by member messaging routes. It does not provide access to your conversations.
Is my health data safe?
Neurotype requires separate consent. Access controls restrict who can read data; this is not a promise of end-to-end encryption. See the privacy policy for processing and retention.
How do I report someone?
Open the report menu on the relevant profile or conversation. Choose a reason and add useful information. You can also block that person.
Who can see my profile?
Only other members, and only inside profile search. Nothing is public, nothing is visible without an account, nothing is indexed by search engines.
Can other people see my phone number?
Your number verifies your contact identity and supports sign-in. On the waitlist it also supports verification, confirmation and access messages. It is not displayed as a public profile field.
What happens when I block someone?
They disappear completely: they can no longer write to you, they no longer see your profile, and they will never come back in your suggestions. They are not told they were blocked. You owe no explanation, and you can block without reporting.
Can I pause my account instead of deleting it?
Pausing hides your profile from discovery. It does not delete existing conversations or block new messages in them. Deletion is a separate settings action, subject to the retention policy.
